VIETNAM
For our second project in 2012, we went to a leprosy village in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. This is the region in which the fiercest battles of the Vietnam-American War took place.
THE PROJECT
Building of 4 playgrounds for the children, including a soccer field and a volleyball court for which we converted a piece of raw land. Plus additional donation of special one-armed-wheelchairs for the unlucky people that fell victim to the booby traps from the War that are still active.
The total cost for this project was €5000,- which we collected by organizing the Kids at Play Run and through donations from different parties.
Kids at play donated special one-armed wheel chairs to the children and elderly that are effected by the leprosy.
HOW DID WE FUND THIS PROJECT?
In the past we have organised a charity run for every project we have worked on. Each time the charity run was a huge success and produced a lot of money for the cause. It’s our goal to keep on doing this for future projects.
